Potatoes prepared in the Cuocipatate are exactly as ash-roasted potatoes, but cooked directly on your stovetop, eliminating the need for a fireplace or campfire. The crust turns crispy and separates from the fluffy interior. This cooking method creates a distinctive flavor while preserving the potato's essential vitamins and minerals.
The preparation is simple:
Wash and dry the potatoes.
Place them whole and unpeeled inside the Cuocipatate.
Set them on the hob and cook at a low heat.
Occasionally, shake the entire Cuocipatate to move the potatoes.
When they appear slightly charred, insert a skewer, and if it goes through the potato completely, they are done!
Suggestions and recommendations:
Regular use of the Cuocipatate enhances the flavor of the potato.
Avoid adding water or oil to the pan and do not wash it, even initially. The Cuocipatate should never come into contact with water or oily substances.
Using a flame diffuser with gas stoves is strongly advised.
The Cuocipatate is also excellent for roasting chestnuts on the hob.
