Potatoes prepared in the Cuocipatate are exactly as ash-roasted potatoes, but cooked directly on your stovetop, eliminating the need for a fireplace or campfire. The crust turns crispy and separates from the fluffy interior. This cooking method creates a distinctive flavor while preserving the potato's essential vitamins and minerals.

The preparation is simple:

  • Wash and dry the potatoes.

  • Place them whole and unpeeled inside the Cuocipatate.

  • Set them on the hob and cook at a low heat.

  • Occasionally, shake the entire Cuocipatate to move the potatoes.

  • When they appear slightly charred, insert a skewer, and if it goes through the potato completely, they are done!

Suggestions and recommendations:

  • Regular use of the Cuocipatate enhances the flavor of the potato.

  • Avoid adding water or oil to the pan and do not wash it, even initially. The Cuocipatate should never come into contact with water or oily substances.

  • Using a flame diffuser with gas stoves is strongly advised.

  • The Cuocipatate is also excellent for roasting chestnuts on the hob.
